Seminar brief: How to Enter Top US Schools
On the afternoon of Sunday, April 6th, our US universities consultant Dr. Michael Wu delivered a seminar to 33 guests on the topic, "How to enter top US schools." He began by posing the question, "What is a top school?" Dr. Wu then went on to articulate what admission officers looked for, and how to best prepare both academically and mentally. Sharing personal anecdotes from over 12 years experience as Harvard interviewer, county chair for San Bernardino and Riverside, and private admissions consultant, Dr. Michael gave all our attendees invaluable, honest, and funny answers to this common question which all too often comes intertwined with baseless hearsay and inaccuracies.
It was an incredible and refreshing experience for attendees, all of whom had searching for reliable answers and a trustworthy source. Dr. Michael Wu's experience, told with good-natured storytelling, helped parents and students to put things into a more balanced perspective. For those families who desired to pursue American education, much preparation was needed immediately. For those parents and children who were on the fence about studying in the US, the seminar provided them with the right tools to begin setting goals, or a point from which to explore alternatives.
Indeed, parents wishing to send their children for study in the US must conduct proper research to prevent a grand waste of time and money spent in the wrong direction. Dr. Michael Wu's relevant experience with Harvard and counties of California, as well years helping students apply for top institutions, makes him the best source for real answers. This valuable seminar is hosted by IWE Study twice a year, but seats are limited.
