Today, IWE opened a new course for students in computer programming, where students got a crack at the fundamentals of programming software and languages. Hopefully students will become more proficient in the weeks to come!
We have great news for everyone! Beginning this Saturday (April 27) Through until June 15, IWE will be holding computer programming classes every Saturday from 3 - 5 pm. The instructor for this course will be Susan Peng, a professional computer scientist. This is an excellent course for all students aspiring to pursue careers in the technology industry or who wish to get hands-on practice in computer programming. Interested in the course? Bring in your computers and take a crack at the keyboard.
This past Sunday, several IWE students participated in the Vancouver Chinese Speaking Competition, which was hosted by the University Chinese Philanthropy Initiative (UCPI) Foundation. IWE's very own Peter Jingkun Zhang placed first in the teenage category! A job well done on his accomplishment and congratulations to everyone else who took part! A special thanks goes to UCPI for hosting this event!
The touring of universities may be over, but there was still one more place to visit before returning to Vancouver! Of course, no trip in the Atlantic states would be complete without a visit to the nation's capital, Washington DC! The visit to DC officially marks the conclusion on the 2019 Spring study tour. Thank you to all students and parents who took part in the study tour! we hope it was a memorable experience!
